v3.0.3 Released!
Hello everyone! Following feedback received during the streamer HawkZombie's lifestream yesterday (Teusday the 16th), I have updated the Chronicles Meteorfall demo to fix some pressing concerns with the game, fix bugs, and generally improve multiple major parts of the game that were causing issues for some players. Here is a list everything that was fixed in the new update:
New Features
- None
Changes
- Characters now have unique level up quotes in battle.
- Many unused assets have been removed.
- The overall file size has been drastically reduced
Bugfixes
- The random common event activating when directly below the Ari Caverns teleport crystal has been fixed.
- Teleport crystals will no longer have the activation notification show up every time you interact with one.
- Some traits no longer cause strange and unusual effects.
- Passive states and traits are no longer shown in battle and in the menu.
- Some enemies now properly appear in-game instead of being a black box.
- A revenant can no longer sometimes appear in Ari during the day.
- The beta splash screens no longer appear when loading up the game for the first time.
- The font used for damage popups has been changed.
There are still some changes I wanted to make which will soon be patched in an upcomming v3.0.3.1 update. I planned to add them in v3.0.3, but I forgot to add them. Sorry. There are also other features I plan on adding that are either not currently possible with my skillset or are too time consuming to add at this moment. Here is everything I plan to eventually add to the demo:
Things to add
v3.0.3.1
- Raise EXP gains/check enemy EXP gains
- Change character/battler sprites based on class for each actor.
- Fix the fog in battle in Banna.
- Add functionality for many of the later passive arts, mainly for the dragoon class and many of the s-classes.
v3.0.4
- Add voice acting for all scenes.
- Incorporate musical battles into all s-talents.
v3.0.5+ (potential future updates)
- Add complex animations for the Dragon Morph S-Talent
- Comission more detailed character battlers.
- Test out Persona/Metaphor battle UI.
- Purchase UI Maker plugin on itch
- Make new menu UI.
- add sound effects for each of the new animations.
- purchase all animations on itch (very expensive)
- Make all new bought animations (very time consuming)
- reorganize all database items
During all this I will still be working on the full game of Chronicles Meteorfall, which is still planned to launch March 2026. I also need to start working on the final updates for Chronicles the Lost Page and Noel and the Tower of Doom as well to get those games fully up to snuff. Other than that, I'm doing pretty good all things considered. I finally got my demo done and now I'm ready to continue onwards to whatever else this project has in store for me.
